Freedom Park Girls Softball Association Philosophy

We are primarily a recreational league, whose sole purpose is to benefit the individual girl who plays at Freedom Park. Our purpose is to develop future citizens with a better ability to function and compete in the world into which they will grow.  To that end, we believe the player with the least ability should receive fair, equitable treatment in playing time, team-building activities, and development of the individual, while maintaining overall team pride and enthusiasm.

This park also has a ZERO Tolerance for parents yelling at umpires, coaches or players in an unsportsmanlike manner.  Those individuals who do not abide by our policy of proper sportsmanship like conduct will be ask to leave the premises.

By city ordinance, all Bibb County Parks and Recreation facilities, including Freedom Park, have been declared a Tobacco Free.  There will no longer be smoking areas and you must leave the recreation property to use tobacco products.  Violators will be asked to leave and could result in a citation or banishment. We appreciate your courtesy in this matter.

SPORTSMANSHIP is conduct (as fairness, respect for one's opponent, and graciousness in winning or losing) becoming to one participating in a sport.
